What are Small Groups?

Small groups are a CONNECTion point. For each of our members that join in there is Prayer, Encouragement, Mentorship, Guidance, and Family to a close small number of people that begin to "Do Life Together". Sometimes it may be difficult to feel close with our church family while simply attending our main services. Small Groups are how we achieve family bond within our Body, as we continue to grow numerically.
"...not neglecting to meet together..."

Why Small Groups?

We like to say that "as the Church grows bigger, we must CONNECT smaller." For us, small groups are how we achieve a deeper sense of family in our congregation. Through Small Groups we can dive deeper into our walk with Christ. As we do so, we walk alongside a group of folks who we can CONNECT,  DISCIPLE, MISSION, and GROW in support  with as well.

Where do they gather?

We currently have 5 hosts!  Most meet in a particular host home (for more info go to the "how do I sign up" page).  In addition a group may choose to meet at the church for convenience of the group.  Most meetings involve food, fellowship, prayer and Bible studies.

Biblical Background of Small Group Gatherings

The beginnings of Christ's Church.

"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.  And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.  And all who believed were together and had all things in common.  And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.  And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,  praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved."  Acts 2:42-47 (ESV)
"and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also."   2 Timothy 2:2" (ESV)

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."  Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV)
